Are We There...

India started Liberalization in the year 1991 and it still Continues to be a work in Progress. Though we have come a long way from those days But a lot more needs to be Done. We have given birth to Companies like Flipkart, Ola, Paytm and many more but these Companies are owned by Foreigners.

I wonder if US will ever allow an Indian or Chinese company to buy a significant stake in Amazon, Apple or Boeing. Most Indian companies and promoters are Always keen to welcome Foreigners. These foreigners eventually end up buying them out rightly. Indian Government did nothing to stop Walmart from arm twisting Flipkart and its management. They remained a mute spectator like always and now Walmart owns Flipkart. It is like giving away Family jewels but nobody being bothered about it.

I have worked in various MNCs and felt that though Indians occupy a lot of important positions the final voice or Authority is a Foreigner most of the times. I have nothing against anyone and met some Great Americans and Britishers while working. They will always remain Friends for life and be like Family. But I wonder if a day will come when an Indian born person will be CEO of British Airways.

As a Country we still face a lot of Challenges. Our Economy is weak and we are still too reliant on IT Exports. India has to be Developed as a Manufacturing hub but Government seems to be the biggest hindrance in Achieving this goal. Tax issues and Compliance also need to be enhanced Significantly. Our growing Population is a big problem but no one seems Concerned. I stayed in Delhi for Almost 10 years but moved to Chandigarh due to Pollution. People of Delhi are still okay with Freebies though  they may be earning a lot of Money. Lack of Respect for Law and Order is rampant in the whole NCR and it is a Disturbing thing. Nobody is Bothered about Safety of Women and Children and most People are Obsessed with Bollywood and Fake Celebrities. We have to Overcome a wide range of issues if India has to join the Ranks of Developed countries. I hope for the Best and Feel that All of us Need to work hard for Progress and Development of India.

Big Test Awaits India

India face a big Test in the second Test match against New Zealand at Christchurch. They did not play well in the first Test and were beaten comprehensively. Indian batsmen and bowlers failed to make any impact and they will be tested severely on a tough pitch. The good thing is that India have good pace bowlers in Bumrah and Shami who can exploit conditions and make life tough for Kiwi batsmen. Ishant Sharma is injured and Umesh Yadav will join the bowling attack in his place. A bowling all rounder is something Indian Team needs desperately and Hardik Pandya would have been a perfect player in these conditions. Lack of a quality all rounder is something Indian Cricket has been grappling with for a long time.

Indian batting also failed miserably and it seems most of the batsmen lack the technique to play Test Cricket confidently. Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Aggrawal are talented batsmen but they are not technically sound. When the ball is moving they are not comfortable and a quality bowler can out think them pretty easily. Even Pujara failed to read the conditions properly which put a big pressure on everyone. Rahane and Vihari were the only batsmen who played convincingly and understood the situation properly. Kohli also needs to bat wisely to ensure than Indian Team does not come under too much pressure. It will be better if India go with Saha as a wicket keeper as he is also a more than capable batsman who knows how to bat with tailenders.

Indian bowlers also need to bowl with precision and discipline to rein in New Zealand batsmen. Bumrah has been unlucky so far on this tour and he will be keen to make an impression. He is one of the finest bowlers Test Cricket currently. Shami is another bowler who has a good record and can make a big impact when he finds his rhythm. A quality spin bowler is also needed by Indian Team who can bowl well on foreign pitches. Ashwin is good on Indian wickets but his overseas record is not satisfactory. Jadeja is another option but his batting is much better than his bowling. A big Test awaits both India and Virat Kohli in this Test match against New Zealand. I hope India will play responsibly and ensure that they keep their fans happy with their performance in Christchurch.

Crisis on Streets of Delhi

Once again India is facing serious internal issues that need to be handled really carefully and with a lot of caution. The biggest issue is our sold out and corrupt Media that can do anything to get high TRPs and publicity. There have been many cases where Media has done more harm than any good though I hope in this case they behave in a more responsible manner. Most of the international Media is also full of Left leaning and Liberal apologists who never leave any chance to show India in a negative light. Our Central Government faces a big challenge and has to deal with various things while trying to Resolve this present crisis. I fail to Understand what Delhi Government was doing as they never understood the depth and seriousness of this issue. If something had been done timely the situation will not have deteriorated like this. Loss of Life is something really sad and reveals the sad state of affairs prevailing in Delhi.

When citizens of a country start attacking Police then the situation is indeed pretty alarming. Opposition parties in India are also ready to support anyone as long as it gets them some votes. This is something that needs to be corrected soon or India runs the risk of becoming a banana republic. Let us hope this crisis is resolved peacefully and things get back to normal in the national capital. Already a lot of economic loss has occurred that will leave a lot of people frustrated and angry with the current state of affairs. This is one of the biggest test for our Leaders in a long time. They face a tough choice in pacifying all sections of society and ensure that our country continues to march on the path of growth and development.

In Passing...

It has been a long time since I blogged and time seems to be running away. A lot of things have happened but still the positives outweigh the negatives significantly. I have always wanted to post about my thoughts and feelings but a hectic life hardly leaves any time. I will try and make sure that from now on I can write a blog post at least once in a week.

After A Long Time

It has been a long time since I have done any new posting. I have been involved in many things but should have been more disciplined but somehow did not do so. It is almost the end of another year and we have entered the last year of this year already. It has been a strange year but it has taught me a lot of valuable lessons which are essential and important to remember in life. The best thing is that I am once again doing the thing I love. I know that I am on the right track and will have to keep an eye on achieving long term goals I have in my mind. I am really thankful to some of my friends and loved ones for their love and support. Sometimes things can get really tough and their help has been a big savior for me. I feel that it is very essential to be mentally strong and have faith in your own instincts. I am really indebted to my friend Harish for his support. He has supported me like a big brother and I will always be thankful to him for his support. I hope to meet him soon and spend some quality time with him.

THIS IS OUR TIME

The year has started on a high note for all of us. India is poised to achieve greater heights and all of us will also grow along with the country. It is very important to keep working hard and remain focused on our goal. Even though there are problems which need to be taken care of there are still enough positives which will ensure that we keep growing in stature. All of us have a responsibility and have to make sure that we keep progressing. Some people would try to derail our progress and there are a lot of them but they can at best delay but never deny what is destined for us. Another great thing is that our markets are proving to be very resilient. The world witnessed a credit crisis but Indian economy kept cruising along smoothly. In fact when I think of Indian economy I am reminded of a Rhinoceros who keeps gorging and is oblivious to his surroundings. I pray that all of us stay Happy, Healthy and this year the country goes from one strength to another.

GONE WITH THE...

It is almost the end of another eventful year. I have learnt a lot of things which will help me to become a better person. A lot of positive events have taken place in the last few days. I have realized that it is very important to keep working no matter whatever happens. It is better to help yourself than to expect someones help. It is very essential to look at the bigger picture and keep improving continuously. One must always try to stay ahead and have a long term vision while doing something. A lot of changes are taking place and it is important to be in tune with them and not stay behind. I must also thank my Friends for being there for me when I needed them. I also feel very nice that I have cultivated the habit of Reading. It has been very helpful and allowed me to stay calm and collected. The credit also goes to my teachers who have always encouraged me. I want to continue with it as it has certainly helped me to be a better person. I pray to Muses and Minerva to grant me Inspiration and Wisdom.
