THE HEAT IS ON.....
As another year rolls by a lot of things have transpired. But I have learned a lot of things in the last couple of months or so. There is enough goodness as well as badness and it is up to each one of us how we perceive everything. One should not be influenced by others easily but if they happen to be people like Dickens, Hemingway, Mandela, Gandhi, Orwell, RK Narayan they are fit to be placed in temples and worshipped. I mean so many assholes are calling or equating themselves with God. At least these gentlemen have a lot of credibility and wisdom which is sadly missing from this banal world. The world is going insane over money and can stoop to any level for it. The irony is all that money can still not save millions from starving or suffering due to poverty and disease. We need to ashamed of what is going on in Iraq, Israel and Afghanistan. Americans are the biggest criminals in this world and they are willing to go to any length for their selfish interests. But our time is coming and that day is not far when we will be giving a hard time to them. We are anyways better than them in most of the things. We are getting more and more powerful and we need to keep working hard. The future belongs to INDIA as Chinese have already proved that they can not manage even a small issue like Tibet properly. We have to make sure that we do not allow these disgusting politicians to take us for a ride. The day is not far when there will be more Indian offices in Wall Street than American or European ones. Our Mystique is growing everyday and no one can stop this Tiger from roaring.

APOCALYPSE NOW
A lot of time has passed since this great movie was released. It was first released at Cannes Film Festival on 10th May, 1979. Then it was released in US on 15th August, 1979 which ironically is India's independence day. This movie was never released in India. It explains why some of the most experienced people associated with film making in India can not grasp the significance and appeal of this great piece of art. If anyone knows what Coppola had to go through while making this movie he can never overlook this movie. This movie is easily one of the greatest war epics ever made. It is such a landmark movie that it needs no praise or any eulogies as it is beyond all these banal things. I am indebted to my good Friend who made me watch this great piece of Cinema and made me realise the power of great art. I salute Coppola and his untiring spirit which made this great movie possible despite all the naysayers. Go ahead and experience this eternally great movie and learn a thing or two about film making as well as Life.

WELTSCHMERZ
As days go by, a strange kind of weariness and ennui has set in. Maybe it has to do something with the weather. I had a chance to see JUNO recently and found it a really quirky movie. The humour is pretty nice and a sensitive subject has been tackled in a very subtle manner. It is much better than the other movies playing in the theatres. I hope Indian directors can learn a thing or two from this movie. Indians are still running after pathetic movies and it is true that we get the movies we deserve. But things are improving slowly and surely and young directors offer some hope.
The politicians are out to sell the country and they have already sold their souls. We have to be Positive and make sure that our judgement is not clouded by the divisive agendas of political parties. We need to trust ourselves and keep working hard and do not worry about anything else.

IN PASSING
It has been a mixed kind of weekend for me. A very good Friend has shifted to a new place and I will miss his company. I am also happy that he is getting married soon to a very nice girl. I am in the middle of a dilemma and would have to take some crucial decisions. It can not be helped and I have to trust my instincts and ability. I just want to maitain a cool head and make sure that I act wisely and take a farsighted decision. I invoke Minerva to grant me Wisdom and Peace.

RAMBLINGS
A lot has happened since my last post. There have been a couple of tricky situations and nasty events but I am still standing tall. It is very easy to give up when the chips are down but you have to dig deep and inspire yourself. We have people like Muhammad Ali, Nelson Mandela, Abraham Lincoln and our very own Mahatma Gandhi which provide us with inspiration and support. I also owe a lot of gratitude to Atticus Finch and his spirit of doing the right thing. Even though he is a fictitious character he is as powerful and impressive as a real person. People have overcome much tougher situations in life and anyway adversity is the true test of a human being. We have to believe in ourself and stay cool under pressure. The world may try to pull you down but you feel only what you allow yourself to feel. I love everyone and realize the importance of life and its value. I am fortunate to have such nice people around me who have helped me overcome problems. I pray to God for World Peace, Harmony and Happiness of mankind.
