Are We There...

India started Liberalization in the year 1991 and it still Continues to be a work in Progress. Though we have come a long way from those days But a lot more needs to be Done. We have given birth to Companies like Flipkart, Ola, Paytm and many more but these Companies are owned by Foreigners.

I wonder if US will ever allow an Indian or Chinese company to buy a significant stake in Amazon, Apple or Boeing. Most Indian companies and promoters are Always keen to welcome Foreigners. These foreigners eventually end up buying them out rightly. Indian Government did nothing to stop Walmart from arm twisting Flipkart and its management. They remained a mute spectator like always and now Walmart owns Flipkart. It is like giving away Family jewels but nobody being bothered about it.

I have worked in various MNCs and felt that though Indians occupy a lot of important positions the final voice or Authority is a Foreigner most of the times. I have nothing against anyone and met some Great Americans and Britishers while working. They will always remain Friends for life and be like Family. But I wonder if a day will come when an Indian born person will be CEO of British Airways.

As a Country we still face a lot of Challenges. Our Economy is weak and we are still too reliant on IT Exports. India has to be Developed as a Manufacturing hub but Government seems to be the biggest hindrance in Achieving this goal. Tax issues and Compliance also need to be enhanced Significantly. Our growing Population is a big problem but no one seems Concerned. I stayed in Delhi for Almost 10 years but moved to Chandigarh due to Pollution. People of Delhi are still okay with Freebies though  they may be earning a lot of Money. Lack of Respect for Law and Order is rampant in the whole NCR and it is a Disturbing thing. Nobody is Bothered about Safety of Women and Children and most People are Obsessed with Bollywood and Fake Celebrities. We have to Overcome a wide range of issues if India has to join the Ranks of Developed countries. I hope for the Best and Feel that All of us Need to work hard for Progress and Development of India.

Big Test Awaits India

India face a big Test in the second Test match against New Zealand at Christchurch. They did not play well in the first Test and were beaten comprehensively. Indian batsmen and bowlers failed to make any impact and they will be tested severely on a tough pitch. The good thing is that India have good pace bowlers in Bumrah and Shami who can exploit conditions and make life tough for Kiwi batsmen. Ishant Sharma is injured and Umesh Yadav will join the bowling attack in his place. A bowling all rounder is something Indian Team needs desperately and Hardik Pandya would have been a perfect player in these conditions. Lack of a quality all rounder is something Indian Cricket has been grappling with for a long time.

Indian batting also failed miserably and it seems most of the batsmen lack the technique to play Test Cricket confidently. Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Aggrawal are talented batsmen but they are not technically sound. When the ball is moving they are not comfortable and a quality bowler can out think them pretty easily. Even Pujara failed to read the conditions properly which put a big pressure on everyone. Rahane and Vihari were the only batsmen who played convincingly and understood the situation properly. Kohli also needs to bat wisely to ensure than Indian Team does not come under too much pressure. It will be better if India go with Saha as a wicket keeper as he is also a more than capable batsman who knows how to bat with tailenders.

Indian bowlers also need to bowl with precision and discipline to rein in New Zealand batsmen. Bumrah has been unlucky so far on this tour and he will be keen to make an impression. He is one of the finest bowlers Test Cricket currently. Shami is another bowler who has a good record and can make a big impact when he finds his rhythm. A quality spin bowler is also needed by Indian Team who can bowl well on foreign pitches. Ashwin is good on Indian wickets but his overseas record is not satisfactory. Jadeja is another option but his batting is much better than his bowling. A big Test awaits both India and Virat Kohli in this Test match against New Zealand. I hope India will play responsibly and ensure that they keep their fans happy with their performance in Christchurch.

Crisis on Streets of Delhi

Once again India is facing serious internal issues that need to be handled really carefully and with a lot of caution. The biggest issue is our sold out and corrupt Media that can do anything to get high TRPs and publicity. There have been many cases where Media has done more harm than any good though I hope in this case they behave in a more responsible manner. Most of the international Media is also full of Left leaning and Liberal apologists who never leave any chance to show India in a negative light. Our Central Government faces a big challenge and has to deal with various things while trying to Resolve this present crisis. I fail to Understand what Delhi Government was doing as they never understood the depth and seriousness of this issue. If something had been done timely the situation will not have deteriorated like this. Loss of Life is something really sad and reveals the sad state of affairs prevailing in Delhi.

When citizens of a country start attacking Police then the situation is indeed pretty alarming. Opposition parties in India are also ready to support anyone as long as it gets them some votes. This is something that needs to be corrected soon or India runs the risk of becoming a banana republic. Let us hope this crisis is resolved peacefully and things get back to normal in the national capital. Already a lot of economic loss has occurred that will leave a lot of people frustrated and angry with the current state of affairs. This is one of the biggest test for our Leaders in a long time. They face a tough choice in pacifying all sections of society and ensure that our country continues to march on the path of growth and development.

In Passing...

It has been a long time since I blogged and time seems to be running away. A lot of things have happened but still the positives outweigh the negatives significantly. I have always wanted to post about my thoughts and feelings but a hectic life hardly leaves any time. I will try and make sure that from now on I can write a blog post at least once in a week.

After A Long Time

It has been a long time since I have done any new posting. I have been involved in many things but should have been more disciplined but somehow did not do so. It is almost the end of another year and we have entered the last year of this year already. It has been a strange year but it has taught me a lot of valuable lessons which are essential and important to remember in life. The best thing is that I am once again doing the thing I love. I know that I am on the right track and will have to keep an eye on achieving long term goals I have in my mind. I am really thankful to some of my friends and loved ones for their love and support. Sometimes things can get really tough and their help has been a big savior for me. I feel that it is very essential to be mentally strong and have faith in your own instincts. I am really indebted to my friend Harish for his support. He has supported me like a big brother and I will always be thankful to him for his support. I hope to meet him soon and spend some quality time with him.

THIS IS OUR TIME

The year has started on a high note for all of us. India is poised to achieve greater heights and all of us will also grow along with the country. It is very important to keep working hard and remain focused on our goal. Even though there are problems which need to be taken care of there are still enough positives which will ensure that we keep growing in stature. All of us have a responsibility and have to make sure that we keep progressing. Some people would try to derail our progress and there are a lot of them but they can at best delay but never deny what is destined for us. Another great thing is that our markets are proving to be very resilient. The world witnessed a credit crisis but Indian economy kept cruising along smoothly. In fact when I think of Indian economy I am reminded of a Rhinoceros who keeps gorging and is oblivious to his surroundings. I pray that all of us stay Happy, Healthy and this year the country goes from one strength to another.

GONE WITH THE...

It is almost the end of another eventful year. I have learnt a lot of things which will help me to become a better person. A lot of positive events have taken place in the last few days. I have realized that it is very important to keep working no matter whatever happens. It is better to help yourself than to expect someones help. It is very essential to look at the bigger picture and keep improving continuously. One must always try to stay ahead and have a long term vision while doing something. A lot of changes are taking place and it is important to be in tune with them and not stay behind. I must also thank my Friends for being there for me when I needed them. I also feel very nice that I have cultivated the habit of Reading. It has been very helpful and allowed me to stay calm and collected. The credit also goes to my teachers who have always encouraged me. I want to continue with it as it has certainly helped me to be a better person. I pray to Muses and Minerva to grant me Inspiration and Wisdom.

THE TIME IS NOW

Today has been a monumental day in more than one way. I did something which I do not do normally and I am clearer in my mind after that. At least I made an effort which is the most important thing. I must say that it is due to some good friends that I have been able to stay the way I have. It is very important for me not to lose focus and stay on course. It is very easy to give up but that is an option I do not have. I have to make each day count and make sure that I keep doing something productive. It is very easy to lose yourself in trivial pursuits but one has to realize that Life is all about making it big and realizing your potential. It is very easy to complain than to do something significant. I am very Lucky to have some really nice people around me who have helped me in so many ways. I pray to God to give me Inspiration and Energy for improving myself and to be able to become a better human being.

LIFE IS CRAZY

It is something strange that we have to go away from something we Love so much in order to come back to it at a later time. But we always Love that thing and its importance increases with Time for us. I Love Chandigarh a lot but I will have to go away so that I can make a solid base. I want to earn and make sure that I do not have to worry about Money when I am in Chandigarh. I want to do something nice and realize my potential. I have not been Disciplined and I have only myself to blame for that. I have to put my head down and make sure that I do not falter and keep on the right track. I know that it is easier said than done but I have exhausted my options and I have to back myself . It is important not to waste time and get down to real work. I feel that the time has come to raise the bar and make sure that it stays raised. I invoke Muses and Minerva to grant me Inspiration and Wisdom.

IN THE LAP OF NATURE

I am in the Queen of Hills, Shimla and it feels very nice here. There are a lot of things which one has to be careful about while staying here. I have been told by many people to stay away from monkeys due to their mischievous ways. But it is the human beings who have turned out to be the real villains. In comparison the monkeys have behaved like saintly fellows. I have tried to help some people but then realised that they do not deserve to be helped. It is better to serve the Humanity in whatever way possible. I still wish that all these People stay in Good health and keep doing well in their Life.

One of the most important things learnt by me is not to lose Heart and give up easily in Life. It is easy to throw in the towel when the going gets tough. Muhammad Ali, Nelson Mandela, Michael Jordan, Martin Luther King, Tupac Shakur, Abraham Lincoln, Charles Dickens, Mahatma Gandhi, Swami Vivekananda, Charlotte Bronte had to endure a lot of problems. But they carried on and made their own destinies with hard work, patience, will power and tenacity of Mind. I hope to keep working hard towards my Goal and everyone must stay Happy and Healthy. God Bless All The World.

MY TIME IS NOW...

It has been some very Exciting days and I am confident that I am on the threshold of something Significant. I have faced and braved a lot of odds and I am more than ready to face anything that comes my way. I am also thankful to many People who have been there for me. Sometimes it gets too much but when the going gets Tough, the Tough get going. I have to Concentrate and try to make a Concerted effort to improve everything around myself. I want to make sure that everyone feels Proud of me. I have been able to Discontinue some bad things and want to ensure that I keep up with that Spirit. I am now at a very Good place and would like to Consolidate my Position. I pray to Muses and Minerva to grant me Inspiration and Wisdom. I am also very thankful to all the People who have helped me.

BACK TO...

It feels great to be back where I had a lot of Fun with my Friends. I am back to Sector 15 where I have spent a lot of nice time with my Friends. The Best part is that this place is full of Friends and the People I really admire. I feel at ease here and I am Lucky that I am back at a place where I have grown up and matured. I really want to resume my old ways and would really like to spend more time outdoors. I want to restart my exercising regimen which I used to follow earlier. I can also start with someone which will add to the overall experience. I hope that I am able to stay here for sufficient time and further develop and strengthen my Relationships.

CRAZY TIMES

There are some moments in Life when we feel that something significant is about to take place. I feel it is our own Instincts than anything else which give us this feeling. But Life is something really Strange and one never knows what is coming next. Sometimes we may feel that the worst is going to happen but then everything falls into place. It is very important not to lose Faith and trust yourself and your Instincts more than anything else. At the same time there is no point in thinking too much as it never solves any problem and only add to the existing problems. I feel that I am really Fortunate to have some really Wise people around me. They not only help me but also inspire me to Focus on the big picture and keep going on. I am really thankful to my Friends for being there and supporting me when I need them. I am also there for them when they need me and I pray to God that all of us stay Happy, Healthy and Wise.

REST IN PEACE....MOONWALKER

It has been some days since the tragic demise of Michael Jackson and the dust has still not settled down. It is very sad that the media has turned it into a farce. A lot of conspiracy theories are doing the rounds and claims and counter claims are being made. He was about to make a keenly awaited return on 13th July, 2009 but sadly it was not to be. A lot of people branded him a paedophile and a child molester but it was never proved. Jackson also donated millions of dollars to charities around the world. His album Thriller is the best selling album till date. It is very sad that Jackson's death is being turned into a media circus. But it can not be disputed that he is not only one of the greatest artist but also one of the best entertainer of all time. His death is an irreparable loss for music and music lovers across the world. May his soul rest in Peace and God grant Peace to his family members.

END OF EVIL....

The biggest FOOL in the history of mankind had left office and his place is taken by a person who symbolizes HOPE and EQUALITY. The whole world can heave a sigh of Relief as BUSH has left and can do whatever he wishes. But Obama faces big Challenges and his abilities will be tested severely when he resumes office. His task is very difficult and it will require more than Hard work and Wisdom to overcome problems faced by America as well as the whole world. The dream of People like Martin Luther King, Muhammad Ali, Rosa Parks and various unsung people has been fulfilled with Obama's ascent to the Presidential seat.

We all feel Good that a person who is intelligent and reasonable has become the President of the United States. I wish him the best in his Quest and feel confident that he will do Justice to his ability and make all of us Proud with his Actions.

I AM BACK

It feels great to be back. I mean to be back in Chandigarh and to have left that madness behind. This is not only my hometown but everything I am I owe to this city. All my hopes, aspirations, passions, love, friendship and everything is in one way or other linked to this city. I did my schooling, college and got my first job in Chandigarh.
For a nature lover like me, there can not be any better city. The wide open spaces and parks are there for relaxation and Mother Nature is willing to take us in its embrace always. A relaxing walk on the Sukhna Lake can do wonders for one's spirits anyday. The best part is that all my Friends are here and they are a great source of inspiration. Once again it feels great to be back and this is the place I really belong to. Wish all of you a lot of Success and Luck in your endeavours.

I FEEL LONELY

I am feeling very lonely for the last few days or so. I usually spend most of my time with Friends but have not been able to do so for various reasons. I am also feeling a little cross due to some reasons. But it is just a passing phase. I still have a lot of great Friends and books to keep me company. I want to spend more time watching movies but can not do so currently. My Friends have got an amazing collection of movies which I can watch once I have all the things in place.

I miss some of my Friends very much and would love to meet and spend time with them. It was great to meet and spend time with Aman a few days back. I also went to Shimla and had a nice time there. On my way to Shimla I met a very good person. I am also seriously thinking about Marriage and it is on my mind. I may not rush into it but I have to be mentally prepared for it. I feel the Time has come to get hitched and enjoy Matrimony. It will also Discipline me and maybe make me more Happier. It does not mean that I am not Happy now. Let us see how things turn out in the next few days. I am prepared for anything and everything.

LOST IN NECROPOLIS

It has been a messed up few days for me. But like always great friends are there to support me. Music is also the biggest source of enjoyment as well as relaxation. Just listening to a good song makes you forget all your worries and you feel as free as a bird. I am also a little surprised by where human beings have stooped to. But we can not expect anything better from human beings. They will forever stay the way they are and there is no redemption for them. But there is something great which has taken place. I have met a very nice Friend and she seems to be a very nice Girl. I would want her to do well and stay happy. My first love will also be turning an year older. I also want her to stay happy. She must get all the happiness and love in life and I pray to God to give her a very considerate life partner. All of us must stay Happy and contended in Life.

THE HEAT IS ON.....

As another year rolls by a lot of things have transpired. But I have learned a lot of things in the last couple of months or so. There is enough goodness as well as badness and it is up to each one of us how we perceive everything. One should not be influenced by others easily but if they happen to be people like Dickens, Hemingway, Mandela, Gandhi, Orwell, RK Narayan they are fit to be placed in temples and worshipped. I mean so many assholes are calling or equating themselves with God. At least these gentlemen have a lot of credibility and wisdom which is sadly missing from this banal world. The world is going insane over money and can stoop to any level for it. The irony is all that money can still not save millions from starving or suffering due to poverty and disease. We need to ashamed of what is going on in Iraq, Israel and Afghanistan. Americans are the biggest criminals in this world and they are willing to go to any length for their selfish interests. But our time is coming and that day is not far when we will be giving a hard time to them. We are anyways better than them in most of the things. We are getting more and more powerful and we need to keep working hard. The future belongs to INDIA as Chinese have already proved that they can not manage even a small issue like Tibet properly. We have to make sure that we do not allow these disgusting politicians to take us for a ride. The day is not far when there will be more Indian offices in Wall Street than American or European ones. Our Mystique is growing everyday and no one can stop this Tiger from roaring.

APOCALYPSE NOW

A lot of time has passed since this great movie was released. It was first released at Cannes Film Festival on 10th May, 1979. Then it was released in US on 15th August, 1979 which ironically is India's independence day. This movie was never released in India. It explains why some of the most experienced people associated with film making in India can not grasp the significance and appeal of this great piece of art. If anyone knows what Coppola had to go through while making this movie he can never overlook this movie. This movie is easily one of the greatest war epics ever made. It is such a landmark movie that it needs no praise or any eulogies as it is beyond all these banal things. I am indebted to my good Friend who made me watch this great piece of Cinema and made me realise the power of great art. I salute Coppola and his untiring spirit which made this great movie possible despite all the naysayers. Go ahead and experience this eternally great movie and learn a thing or two about film making as well as Life.
